Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients: For the dough:

  • 2-3 tbsp milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free all-purpose flour, tapioca starch, brown sugar, instant yeast, xanthan gum, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, warm milk, and eggs.

  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until the dough is smooth and well combined.

  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

  6. Roll the dough out onto a floured surface into a rectangle shape.

  7. Spread the softened butter over the dough, leaving about 1/2 inch around the edges.

  8. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the buttered dough.

  9. Starting from the long end, roll the dough up into a tight log.

  10. Using a sharp knife or dental floss, cut the log into 12 even slices.

  11. Place the cinnamon rolls into a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  12. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the rolls are golden brown and baked through.

  13. While the rolls are baking, make the frosting by whisking together the powdered sugar, softened butter, milk, and vanilla extract.

  14. Once the rolls are done, let them cool for a few minutes before spreading the frosting over the top.

  15. Serve warm and enjoy your gluten-free cinnamon rolls!
